Team Entry Update

Thank you to all clubs that were able to attend our Product Update Webinar last week. The feedback has been very positive so far.

For those unable to attend, please find the link to the video below:

Please find below a list of FAQ's that were discussed during the call:

Will members be able to make individual payments into a Team Competition, with the fees being taken from the individuals' accounts?

Yes, the main reason for this change is to streamline this process. Members are able to do this if you set the competition as an individual competition, allow payments to be taken from the individual accounts (a setting that currently only intelligentgolf can change), and then convert it to teams.

Can you still do individual entry and conversion to teams when the competition is a draw for partners?

Yes, we are not removing any functionality.

What happens if there is no money in other players' accounts?

This will depend on the club's overdraft settings. If you allow members to go overdrawn, then the process will allow members to be added. If you do not allow overdrawn accounts, the member adding the team will not be able to add this playing partner.

Can you use this new feature without EPOS?

Yes, you can use this feature without the payment option.

Will zones work the same way?

Yes, this new sign-up process has been tested with all types of sign-up entry processes, including Zones.

Can an administrator withdraw individual members of the team?

Yes, we have not changed any functionality in terms of administrators managing the teams.

Can you still choose to pay on check-in with all these team competitions?

Yes, check-in has been considered and will not change as part of this update.

Is there a holding time period for the tee time once you have selected the tee time?

Once the user selects a time, the remaining slots will sit in a pending state until the user either fills the slots or finishes the booking. At this point, the additional times, if there are any available, will be visible to other members and administrators.

What date is this new update due, please?

We will provide a further update as soon as testing has been completed. We have taken your previous feedback on board and wanted to host this webinar to ensure you are well informed about the changes we are making. We will also provide you with notice of the release date and member documentation to ensure your members are aware of the change.

We are excited to get this update live and will add a further news article as soon as we have a confirmed go-live date.
